Apple announces The Beatles for iTunes

first_imgThere was a lot of speculation as to what the announcement from Apple would be today regarding iTunes. Those of you looking forward to a streaming music service will be very disappointed. As was suggested yesterday by a number of people, Apple thought this build up was worth it for managing to secure The Beatles back catalog for iTunes. All 13 studio albums are now available in remastered form, as well as the two-volume “Past Masters” compilation and the “Red” and “Blue” collections. Apple has also managed to get the “Live at the Washington Coliseum, 1964” concert film, thought to be an exclusive on the service. The individual songs are $1.29 each, albums $12.99 and double albums $19.99. There’s also the Beatles Box Set for $149 including all 13 albums, the collections, and the concert film. A quick calculation tells us that’s a saving of nearly $60 over buying everything separately.Read more at Apple.comlast_img
