Jepsen Named AEMA Glenn Sharp Equipment Manager Of The Year

first_imgDrake University head equipment manager Troy Jepsen has been named the Athletic Equipment Managers Association Glenn Sharp Equipment Manager of the Year winner, the organization announced this week during its annual convention in Atlanta, Ga. Earlier this year, Jepsen was honored as the AEMA District 6 Equipment Manager of the Year and serves as the District’s director. Jepsen, who is in his sixth year overseeing the Bulldogs’ equipment operations directs the purchasing, storing, issuing, fitting and repairing of all athletics equipment and works directly with adidas to outfit all 18 Bulldog teams and their student-athletes. The Glenn Sharp Equipment Manager of the Year Award is presented annually to the individual who is determined to have contributed the most to the advancement of the equipment management profession in the past year and has exhibited the characteristics and devotion reminiscent of Glenn’s demeanor and lifestyle. Sharp is known as the founder of the AEMA and was the long time Equipment Manager at Bowling Green State University. Prior to joining the staff at Drake, Jepsen served in roles at Cincinnati, Iowa State, Air Force and Towson. Jepsen earned a bachelor’s degree in communications in 1997 and a master’s in sports management in 1998 from Wayne State College in Nebraska. Print Friendly Versionlast_img
