Festival of India in Fort St. John today

JOHN, B.C. – The Festival of India is officially here in Fort St. John today until 7:00 p.m.Among the festivities are a henna station, a kids area, free vegetarian snacks including fruit, singers, dancers, and a whole lot more.The event is taking place on the grassy area across from the North Peace Cultural Centre at the corner of 100th Avenue and 100th Street.- Advertisement -They are celebrating many different cultures and religions from India, including: Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Sikh, to name a few.The event will also feature cauliflower pakoras, and a demonstration of paka yoga and demonstrations of traditional Indian mantras.last_img
